The Artist’s Signature

When you think of an artist, say Dali or Van Gogh – perhaps that artist’s signature might be the first thing that pops into your mind. They are memorable for good reason. When an artist signs their work on the front they are making a bold statement with that work. The artist’s signature is more than just a way to authenticate the work – it becomes a part of the work.

Nestor’s signature is a stylized version of the first letter in his first name “N”estor and this last name “T”oro” (which is “bull” in Spanish). The T is a bull’s head.

I thought that you might find it interesting to see just a few of the signature photos to get a feel for his unique signature! Note the harmonic color(s) used for different works. Lee
