The placement of the artworks was to adapt to the structure of the space, in this case a grand spiral staircase. The space was perfect as it provide unique viewing angles both ascending and descending the staircase! It was actually quite a different viewing experience from the usual precise placement on stark white walls and place in a line up like manner with them all neatly in a straight line. I love that abstract expressionist art has no rules because it must be free. As an artist I must not feel any confines or the painting will not be the same.
