India

It’s November 10, 2017 and I am currently in India. Yes, I said India! The wonderful collector in India has brought me to his country to conceptualize a number of paintings for his home in Lucknow for commissioned works. Those who follow my blog here perhaps will remember my posts about a new collector in India who purchased several paintings from me earlier this year.

This patron of the arts has flown me over to do a number of commissions for his amazing home in Lucknow India. I am analyzing and coordinating with the interior decorator to get the perfect size for the various rooms and large staircase between floors!

This is a challenge but it is also a wonderful opportunity to have my artwork shown in yet another country and a country where abstract art is not as prevalent a style used in India. We have been discussing what he wants in each room and I am taking notes of size and color so when I return to Los Angeles I can create the artwork that will be a monument to the way it was created from start to finish! Large Paintings

You might think that large works of art are only for those who live in mansions but that is not true. A large statement piece can transform a room giving it a focal point to build around so the artwork is often the best place to start when you are buying furnishing for a new home or even want to change things around for a totally different look of an existing area!

This work was a commissioned work by a delightful couple in San Francisco California I recently did. There is more information on the process of this very painting here.
