Earlier I introduced a collector who stopped by my studio here in West Hollywood and purchased several works, well this is one of those works. This work is 40 x 60 inches and is very gestural in execution. Many ask it I have a preconceived plan when starting the work. I do not. I love to create the artwork at the moment. It is something that just flows. I have been told that I capture the energy of movement in my work. If you want to own some of my artwork for yourself, check out my online store – Thank you – Nestor Toro L.A.
This is a large statement painting which commands attention with sophistication! The work is now owned by a collector in Illinois. Contemplative, bright, vivid blue with purple, yellow and silver. The focus was texture, color and a composition with energy and movement. High grade Golden acrylics. Size: 68 x 36 inches. This is a very dynamic work but with very calming cool colors. I hope that you will enjoy this work for many years to come! Thank you – Nestor Toro
I am happy to announce that I have sold Verdor (Greenery) which is beautiful statement work measuring 48 x 36 inches. Jennifer is now enjoying this work in her home in Florida! This work is acrylic on canvas. It is a nature inspired color field mainly light green with beige and other contrasting colors, yellow, blue and gold. Textured and layered with acrylics and mediums. Thank you Jennifer and enjoy your new artwork everyday there in the sunshine state. Nestor Toro – Abstract Painter
Patrons of the arts are those who contribute to an artist’s career and ultimately the artists ability to work on their work. I have some steady collectors that I refer to as my patrons. These are collectors who buy my artwork on a regular basis. It is not easy to be a working artist as you might imagine. With so many talented artists out there it is difficult to stand out so I am always grateful when someone buys my art and those who purchase on a steady basis.
The collector who bought the work I certainly consider one of my patrons. Anne from Wimberley Texas recently bought this artwork called Infinity Landscape. The work is 40 x 30 inches. There is a story behind this. I was setting up for my latest exhibition being one of the artists who participated in The Other Art Fair in March 2018 and I had chosen this work to be one of the dozen or so paintings out of several hundred. While I was in setting for the event I received a message on my phone telling me the work had just been purchased…at who bought it, that’s right Anne!
So as an added bonus Anne’s new work was viewed in person by several thousand art lovers over the show weekend. Thank you Anne – Nestor Toro – Los Angeles
I am happy to announce another of one of my works I call “Morning Star – 3 Phases – 1 Day” to a patron of my art who lives in Miami. I am grateful to my collectors who value my artwork and I am thrilled to know that my artwork is gracing the walls of their homes and being enjoyed each day! Thank you once again Jordan!
Multi panel acrylic abstract landscape bright color palette glossy finish. For this piece I used palette knifes and spatulas. Lots of energy and depth!!!
This work is a triptych which is comprised of 3 individual 16″ x 20″ canvases. They arrive ready to frame and each have a hanger on the back so they can easily be put up together.
There are also optional framing options to show off these 3 amazing works. They could each be framed individually and hung together for a different look. Another option would be a “floating frame” in which all 3 canvases are mounted in 1 frame for a different look. These options can be done by your local framer should you decide you want that.
I am happy to report that a repeat collector has purchased a work I call Drizzles 2 which is from a series of Drizzle works which have been very popular. These works incorporate several of my techniques in the series! Thank you very much for collecting my art – Nestor Toro
Contemplative bold landscape painting with vibrant color blending, contrast and fine details. Textured with many layers of gesso to prime the canvas then applied acrylic paint with spatulas and palette knifes creating very organic textures and forms, completed with high quality Sennelier and Golden Acrylics and glossy finish.
