SOLD – Fugitive Imagination 2 by Nestor Toro in L.A.

I am happy to announce that I have sold yet another work via Saatchi Art gallery! This work is the second in my series “Fugitive Imagination of which there are 4.” Fugitive Imagination 2 and is done in one of my signature styles that I refer to as “drizzles.” The work is 31 x 61 inches and made from the highest professional quality acrylics. The work is a LARGE IMPACTFUL PAINTING! It is a bold nature inspired action packed painting. Many colors pale yellow, crimson, teal, pink, over bright emerald background.

I would like to thank Liddy from San Diego!

This dynamic work is very textured, Signed in front and PLENTY of edge for framing. I include a certificate of authenticity that lists the materials as well as when the painting was completed. Fine high quality materials such as Golden acrylics products are used and UV protective enamel for sunlight protection. Thank you – Nestor Toro – Los Angeles 2019

SOLD Original Abstract – Cracks and Blinding Lights by Nestor Toro

This original abstract acrylic work by Los Angeles painter Nestor Toro has been sold via Saatchi gallery and is now with a new owner in England! The work is 24 x 18 inches and is acrylic on canvas. It was created earlier this year – 2019. Thank you! Nestor Toro – L.A.

As you might have noticed I paint with no outcome or end result in mind – the entire act of painting is what I am doing – doing is not the right word really – becoming lost in process perhaps – innate actions without conscious thought. This is why I produce works of such varying styles. This particular work is a great example of my way of painting. Just look at this painting and imagine that it was planned out – absurd. First there are not brush strokes because the only time I used a brush on this work was after it was complete when I signed my name on the lower right corner. I prefer to use palette knives.

SOLD – Twelve Hours Ahead by Nestor Toro

I am happy to report that a collector has purchased my work – Twelve Hours Ahead. This work was sold via Saatchi art gallery. The work was shown last year at The Other Art Fair here in Los Angeles which was sponsored by Saatchi Art – how exciting is that! The work was created in 2017 and was inspired by a trip that I took and the time difference from Los Angeles! The painting measures 60 x 40 inches.

As I mentioned this work was Inspired by a recent trip to India (more on that amazing experience in a future post)! Contemplative multi color and silver abstract color field painting with lots of color blending, contrast and fine details. Textured with many layers of plaster to prime the canvas then applied acrylic paint with spatulas and palate knifes creating very organic textures and forms. I only make original works. Each is a one of a kind so you will have the only one! My artwork is my passion and you can SEE that passion on the canvas – You can experience it each day you own it just like the work’s new owner!

SOLD – Maritime Spectra 3 by Nestor Toro

Happy to continue my post about the collector in Italy who bought Sky Spectra 3 and announce that she also purchased Maritime Spectra 3 which from a series called “Maritime Spectra.” I am always interested in seeing which paintings from a series are purchased and which ones linger a bit longer waiting for just the right collector to happen upon it and connect with it enough to want to own it.

This work is also a 20×16 inch canvas which as I was discussing in a previous post is the PERFECT size for rotating artwork and giving the room a new look and feel while allowing you to continue to collect artwork that moves you yet you don’t have the wall space for.

Thank you very much for purchasing these works directly from me. It was a pleasure working with you and I hope to do so again in the very near future!
