I am often contacted by a collector who tells me that they love my work and would buy it but they are out of wall space. I immediately ask them if they rotate their collection. Most will say no and then I tell them that they should! It gives you the opportunity to display more pieces and keeps the area always new and interesting. You would also be surprised at how seeing a work after you put in away for a couple of months will allow you to see through different eyes and notice things you never did before as if it is a new work! We rotate artwork throughout the apartment to keep it interesting and frankly there is just too much great art that you want to own to limit yourself to just what you few walls can hold at any one time.
Oh and don’t think that you always have to have the same sized work in a space either (unless nothing else will fit) but try a vertical work if you usually have a horizontal one. You will be surprised how your eye sees the entire room differently because of that subtle prospective change it makes – amazing really.
I hope you will consider adding those pieces that you really want and get them now that you know that you are never limited to just what your walls have on them right now. Thank you – Nestor Toro – 2018 – Los Angeles
