The color palette of Flickering Garden 7 is a jubilant array of hues, evoking the flickering vibrancy of a garden under shifting light. The background features a deep, twilight blue, creating a rich foundation that feels like a garden at dusk. Over this, Toro layers a dense array of vertical strokes in a spectrum of vivid tones—fiery reds, electric pinks, and golden yellows cascade down the canvas like blooming flora, their vibrancy capturing the essence of a garden flickering with life. Accents of lush green and bright blue weave through the composition, adding a sense of depth and contrast that feels both wild and harmonious, as if the garden is alive with movement. Small splashes of white and soft purple dot the surface, resembling dewdrops or delicate petals, enhancing the painting’s radiant, flickering quality. The colors seem to pulse with energy, creating a rhythmic flow that feels alive and enchanting, drawing the viewer into a vibrant garden scene.

Toro’s technique is textured and spontaneous, with layered, dripping strokes that add a tactile quality, inviting closer inspection. The vertical marks evoke a sense of growth and movement, as if the garden is flickering in the breeze.
