Thank you! This painting was created after coming back from a week long trip to Puerto Rico. I grew up in the tropics with green lush forests and beautiful oceans. Once again I was very inspired by the complexity of the forest, just looking out the window you could get lost in a natural, dense and fascinating scenery. Very Inspired piece. The size of the work is 48 x 36 inches.
Mixed media painting acrylics and gesso deep greenery and bold shapes, texture and color contrasts. This piece was complete with phthalo blue, madder, rouge orange, some turquoise, shades of green and white. The final result is a complex color combination and lots of filled spaces.

All of my painting start with big bold strokes of many colors. Love creating those first layers building up into a complex combination of shapes, colors and patters. This piece was made using palette knifes and rubber spatulas then drizzled endless amounts of clear string gel swirling layers after layers creating the finishing texture, which is very striking. High quality rich Golden gold, orange and blue iridescent mediums and UV protection. Statement piece.

This painting conveys motion and energy as well as lots of light and fast changes in contrast. Certainly they are no substitute for a large statement work of say, 5 feet by 10 ft but you can only have so many of those in your home. With works such as this 20 x 16 inches you can add one to nearly every room and it adds so much from the color impact to the fact that there is just something magical about the energy and feeling that you can get from this size of abstract art.
