Earlier I introduced a collector who stopped by my studio here in West Hollywood and purchased several works, well this is one of those works. This work is 40 x 60 inches and is very gestural in execution. Many ask it I have a preconceived plan when starting the work. I do not. I love to create the artwork at the moment. It is something that just flows. I have been told that I capture the energy of movement in my work. If you want to own some of my artwork for yourself, check out my online store – Thank you – Nestor Toro L.A.
I am happy to post that my work Deconstructed Memories” has been sold to a collector in Australia. The work is a multi-panel consisting of 4 20 x 16 inch canvases. Multipanel acrylic abstract purple and green landscape with iridescent glossy finish. Palette knifes and spatulas used to create layers after layers. Artwork with iridescent effects which make this piece take on different feels with light changes. Stunning effect! Thank you! Nestor Toro
I am happy to post that one of the works from my popular Cathartic series has been sold to a collector in New York. The work is Cathartic 2 and has been exhibited in a Saatchi Art group exhibit here in Los Angeles. The work measures 36 x 24 inches and was painted in 2015. My partner Lee has had it hanging in his office and now has to replace it! Many lines make up this work with a hint of randomness. Very vibrant painting to fill a room with lots of life! This piece has many layers and fine details. Double primed canvas and sealed with protective enamel. High quality Golden acrylics and mediums. UV protected. Thank you and enjoy this special work! This work is a triptych made of 3 20 x 16 inch canvases. I call it Burning Wood and the colors and the movement captured are reminiscent of a fireplace. I always find sitting in front of fire and watching the flames dance around with the ever changing light patterns putting on a show. This work has the same feel for me hence the name. It is now in New York with Roberto. Thank you very much for collecting my art – Nestor Toro – Los Angeles
Contemplative piece with great depth and organic shapes. Most of the colors are the result of color blending using acrylic mediums. This multi canvas work is truly a statement piece. I had a great time working on this painting!!! This is a multi panel artwork each canvas is 16*20 inches.

Patrons of the arts are those who contribute to an artist’s career and ultimately the artists ability to work on their work. I have some steady collectors that I refer to as my patrons. These are collectors who buy my artwork on a regular basis. It is not easy to be a working artist as you might imagine. With so many talented artists out there it is difficult to stand out so I am always grateful when someone buys my art and those who purchase on a steady basis.
The collector who bought the work I certainly consider one of my patrons. Anne from Wimberley Texas recently bought this artwork called Infinity Landscape. The work is 40 x 30 inches. There is a story behind this. I was setting up for my latest exhibition being one of the artists who participated in The Other Art Fair in March 2018 and I had chosen this work to be one of the dozen or so paintings out of several hundred. While I was in setting for the event I received a message on my phone telling me the work had just been purchased…at who bought it, that’s right Anne!
So as an added bonus Anne’s new work was viewed in person by several thousand art lovers over the show weekend. Thank you Anne – Nestor Toro – Los Angeles
I am used to selling art all over the world thanks to the internet allowing me to be exposed to a larger number of people than I could ever be seen by in a physical gallery so it’s always great to meet people in “real life”! I was contacted by a collector visiting Los Angeles on business and had seen my work online. This was an opportunity to view the artwork in person and ask questions. Lee and I showed him a ton of work – another perk of visiting – and he ended up buying 6 painting. I have “warned” you guys before that studio visits usually end up with you buying even more than you intended because my work really needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time out of your trip to spend a couple of hours viewing my artwork! Nestor Toro
It is always a happy occasion when I sell one of my works and this is no exception! A collector in Paris has purchased this work and I am excited to have yet another work in a city I have visited in my travels and certainly plan on visiting again! Thank you for acquiring this work – Nestor Toro
