Artwork can enhance a room and especially abstract art. I am not talking “wall decor” which is NOT art and simply something to cover wall space or bring an accent color to a room to tie the curtains with the carpet. No – real FINE art is not even comparable to that. Fine art stimulates not only the eyes but the emotions, the intellect, the very essence of thought to become an object that is “experienced” rather than simply looked at.

Thank you to this wonderful new collector (and all my collectors) who understand this and GET my artwork on those levels…so much so that they want to own it and I am honored beyond words each time I am contacted and sell a work – Thank you!

Another work purchased! This is the 3rd work purchased by the couple who purchased Terra  Verde and Los Angeles Fantasy! I call this work Ocean Particles and it is 40″ x 30″ inches. As you can see it fits into their decor perfectly just like the work Los Angeles Fantasy and really brings color to the area. The complex layers of color give depth to the work making it a visual feast for the eyes!

Vibrant warm colors abstract landscape colorfield. Beautiful colours blend with iridescent mediums for a striking effect. This painting was completed using spatulas instead of brushes, this gives a very smooth and even texture to the piece. This painting is very iridescent with Orange, purple and blue iridescent hues.

Thank you very much for collecting my original abstract art! Nestor Toro – Los Angeles – Abstract Artist

It really looks amazing framed by the recessed area. The patterned background looks almost electric with the vertical movement contrasting with the horizontal motion of the artwork making the entire visual experience more interesting and the neutral tones allowing the color to provide the illusion of movement and energy radiating from the area. Again – STUNNING

Nestor Toro – Los Angeles – Abstract Art

I was contacted by a couple in my very own town of Los Angeles who recently bought their dream home and wanted some fantastic original abstracts to give it some color and I am honored that they chose me as their primary artist. They arranged a studio visit to see the artwork in person and bought 3 works…the first is this one – Terra Verde – Forest Deep. This work is a large statement work and by that I mean a work that not only “makes a statement” but is also the dominant focal point in the room it hangs. It brings color and movement and can set the tone of the entire room…hence the term.

This work is a large work that I created on hand cut heavy canvas which I also hand primed with a triple layer of gesso for a nice solid base. I then used a palette knife to create large gestural motions which capture movement as you can see below. The work was rolled and stored until it was purchased by the collectors and was then stretched for hanginging in their lovely home!

Of course once the artwork is stretched and hanging in place it looks amazing and becomes the STATEMENT work it was always meant to be and is now gracing this wonderful room in Long Beach and being enjoyed by these wonderful collectors! Thank you so much! Nestor Toro – Los Angeles – Abstract Art

This really illustrates how an artwork can make a room! The deep blue of the furniture…the green of the foliage outside the window…even the golden glow of the lamp and the yellow in the work!

Perfect harmony and balance. So pleasing to the eye to have these organic colors all come together in the artwork – STUNNING

Nestor’s painting style is extremely varied because his talent is just as big and can not be limited.
