SOLD – Shimmering Garden (Teal and Purple) (2018)
It’s always wonderful to sell a painting – knowing that one of their works resonated with a collector so strongly that they want to own it! The only thing that is more amazing is when a collector becomes a repeat collector…as with the painting!
I am thrilled to share that Nestor’s work – Shimmering Garden (Teal and Purple) was sold to a collector (thank you very much Sarah) who had already purchased 2 of his works! Even more fantastic was that she was actually visiting Los Angeles from Chicago so it was even more memorable to get to personally meet and show her a selection of works she wanted to see in person. After viewing all of the works on the list I pulled out this work and that was it – she immediately knew that was this was one she wanted!
This work is mixed media on hand-cut canvas. The mediums include hand-mixed acrylic paint. Various inks and mixing mediums to create liquids of differing viscosity’s depending on the placement. This work is done in the classic Jackson Pollock painting style of painting on the floor which allows Nestor to view and move around the canvas from 4 different orientations! This is absolutely essential to achieve balance when painting in this style as you might imagine.
I invite you to take a moment and visit the SHOP so you too can find that special work that resonates with you. Lee
