All of my series are special but some are based on concepts and some on personal experiences. I would like to thank Jordan from Florida for being a patron of my art. He has acquired this work called The Next Room which is 1 of 9 works from a series called “9.5 Hours”. The work measures 20 x 20 inches and is hand stretched canvas. The entire series (including this painting) have been show in Los Angeles at the Fold Gallery. Thank you very much! Nestor Toro – Los Angeles
I am happy to post that Shimmering Lights (In Paradise) has been sold to a collector via my relationship with Saatchi art gallery. I would like to congratulate Sarah in Chicago for acquiring this wonderful complex work! Thank you very much!
The work is Size: 69 x 38 inches and quite an amazing statement piece. It is a very textured abstract acrylic colorfield, with organic patterns and drips! The entire work is done by hand from the hand cut canvas, the hand applied gesso, and of course the seemingly endless drips and drops and spatters! Many colors contribute to the complexity of this work – blue, yellow, white, teal, and bit of other colors. Signed statement piece. Painted in 2017 by Nestor Toro in Los Angeles

All of my painting start with big bold strokes of many colors. Love creating those first layers building up into a complex combination of shapes, colors and patters. This piece was made using palette knifes and rubber spatulas then drizzled endless amounts of clear string gel swirling layers after layers creating the finishing texture, which is very striking. High quality rich Golden gold, orange and blue iridescent mediums and UV protection. Statement piece.
triple primed canvas.
Vibrant and very detailed piece with bold color blending, lots of drips and big palette knife strokes…Pretty much everything I love in a painting!!! This painting conveys motion and energy as well as lots of light and fast changes in contrast. Has a very active summer feel and yet one can get lost in it!!! triple primed canvas and heavy layered with high quality Golden and Sennelier acrylics, ink and Liquitex spray paint, UV gloss protective spray. Contemplative statement piece.

This bold over-sized one of a kind canvas is truly a statement piece is 44 x 70 inches.
I am often asked if I will sign works on the front if the work is signed on the back. YES of course! I almost always sign my works when I complete them and determine the orientation. I sometimes will create a work that I feel looks amazing in both horizontal (landscape) and vertical (portrait) orientations. With those works I ask the purchaser if they would like the work signed on the front.
Shawna wanted the work signed and here are a couple of pics of me signing the work!

As I mentioned in a previous post, regular collectors are one of the wonderful things about being an artist! Knowing that there are collectors who own multiple works of mine is really an honor I never even thought about when I was starting out so it is always thrilling to get an email notice when there is a sale and to recognize the name! Peter in Switzerland is one of those.
Peter has purchased several works and this most recent purchase was of 3 works.
Here is the first called Distant Red. It is 20 x 16 inches.
The second work is Distant Golden Desert and it also measures 20 x 16 inches. It also happens to be part of the same series!
The third work that Peter selected is called Color Fusion 2 which is a triptych made up of 3 canvases which measure 20 x 16 inches. Therefore the work measures 20 x 48 inches. With the option of placing the individual canvases close or further apart depending on the wall area!
Thank you very much Peter for collecting my art and being a patron of the arts!
I am happy to announce that my work Emerald Garden had been sold and is now being enjoyed by a collector in the United Kingdom named Catherine via ArtFinder Gallery – Thank you!

Although this is one of my smaller works at 16 x 20 inches it shows how a small work can make a BIG impact on a wall space. Just imagine how this work looks with bright sunlight streaming into the room and illuminating the work! Stunning!
I would like to thank Jordan in Florida for adding yet another one of my original abstract art paintings to his collection! If I am not mistaken this is number 5 and I am honored. Thank you!
