I was featured in the New This Week collection on Monday 9.28.2020 and I am quite please to post that I sold 3 works yesterday to 3 different collectors at Saatchi Art! Always exciting to be featured in a collection as it not only represents a level of achievement but the secondary effect is exposure to collectors who might not be familiar with my work.

Keep reading to see the 3 works that were SOLD – you can also visit the Sold Work 2020 to view ALL of the work sold thus far.

To all the wonderful new collectors who have purchased my work this very strange year and I am certain that we will ALL make it through this stronger than ever and with help from things such as art providing motivation in our homes and offices we can surround ourselves with inspirational work just like the 3 collectors above! Thank you – Nestor Toro

I am thrilled to announce that I have had yet another work included in Chief Curator – Rebecca Wilson’s collection of “New This Week” work for September 28th 2020 but trust me – it never gets old and is always exciting and an honor to be included!

As the Chief curator and VP of Saatchi Art – Rebecca Wilson has an endless pool of extraordinary talent and work to choose from and with an average of 90 works you can see just why it is such an honor to be included in such a select group!

It’s been awhile since I did a detailed post with ALL of the recently sold work for 2020 so I am making a post highlighting a select few (as there are too many to post them all) and a huge thank you for all the collectors who had purchased my art before and to all the new collectors who now are owners of my artwork and enjoying them in these uncertain times we find ourselves in this year!

It is encouraging to know that art is still considered an “essential” as it should be and even more so than ever as we are spending more time inside and inside at our homes – so I wanted to share some of my works as seen hanging in actual collector’s beautiful homes! I have work hanging all over the world in 25 countries and on 5 continents which is so cool because world travel is one of my passions (my most recent trip was Hong Kong and Japan 2019 and I have multiple works hanging in BOTH those wonderful countries) and probably my biggest motivation for my artwork!!!

Whenever I travel I feel my batteries recharging as my head is filling with the stimulating sights, sounds, and smells! I was commissioned to do the artwork for an entire home in India and of course the only way to give the collector what he wanted was to go there and see the home for myself. The home was under construction and was being finished so there was no furniture but working with Mr. Jindal’s interior designer we were able to work up the number of works to be made (15 works), their sizes and the color palette that would be used for the room. I spent a week in India working with him to get all of the information and returned to the USA to do the paintings! You can check those out on this link: India Home Commission – 15 Works!

It is my passion to create art and express myself and it is rewarding to know that collectors respond passionately to my work – so much so that they find works that they want to own. Since I sell work all over the world it is nice to see what they look like in collector’s homes. I have made of page of just a few examples of the works sold hanging in collector’s homes. It might give you some ideas of where artwork would fit into your home!

You can see smaller works such as 16 x 20 inches (which add color and are small enough to for any room and can fit in any decor) to massive statement works that are the focal point of the room! Have a room that you would like to buy a work for? Send a photo of the space and the measurements and my partner Lee will be more than happy to PhotoShop in the work you are interested in!

“If you want to add some color and experience the pleasure of owning not only original fine art but also original fine art by a established artist with a track record of sold upward price growth then why not check out the works currently for sale in the shop right here on the site.”

What a wonderful gift to give yourself or someone you care for. In these uncertain times there is one than that is certain and that is that art and the appreciation of art will always be valued and is one of the greatest human achievements.

It is always rewarding to be acknowledged so I thrilled to once again be included in the New This Week collection. The collection is curated by the Chief Curator and Director of Saatchi Art Rebecca Wilson. While my work has been included New This Week collections it is always an honor be have work included as there are only 52 collections a year which typically showcase 80 to 90 works – so considering the enormous number of artists (Wikipedia puts that at 110,000 from 100 countries) who have work on Saatchi Art and larger still the total number of new works out of which just a fraction are chosen. Thank you Rebecca!

The work that was selected for inclusion is from on ongoing series I have called A Closer Look (More is More) and this work is the SECOND work of the series!

You can view the work on Saatchi Art website here.

I am happy to announce that a collector has purchased another of the works from my 9 canvas series called “9 1/2 Hours”! This is a series that I created to commemorate a trip to Argentina that took an unexpected turn as life often does – I mean just look at right now in 2020! This is one of the 9 canvases and is called Contemplation. It was sold via Zatista Gallery. I would like to thank Jeffery from PA for purchasing this work during the pandemic. I hope that you will enjoy it and that it will make the stay in home period to be a little more tolerable and a work you will enjoy for years to come.
