Artist’s description:

Inspired by the Eagles song, this vibrant piece has bold color blending, Iridescent paint drips and big palette knife strokes. This painting conveys motion, energy as well as lots of light and fast changes in contrast. Make me think of a cornucopia of warm colors. Triple primed canvas and heavy layered with high quality Sennelier acrylics, permanent Dr.Ph.Martin’s and Daler Rowney inks and UV gloss Golden protective varnish. Contemplative statement piece.

It’s really unavoidable when you are paint the way that I do…with enthusiasm! I have paint from the ceiling to the floor. I noticed this wall outlet where I plug in lights to photograph my artwork and it’s really a work of art in itself! Check out this little detail in my studio but the details are what make up everything!

Here is the latest artwork “Through The Old Lens – Cliffs” that has already been sent out to the collector but I wanted to show you what it looks like. The painting is 16″ x 20″ which might not sound very large but as you can see in the picture of me holding it that it actually makes a BIG statement…especially since I send my 16″ x 20″ works framed as you can see here. The frame is metal with a brushed finish which enhances but doesn’t overpower the work. In fact, it arrives framed so you can take it directly from the box and hang it on your wall!

Being in Los Angeles there is a huge pool of artists so I am always thrilled to have collectors contact me who live in the area and want to view my art in person. Last week I was contacted by a couple who wanted to view a specific work and they came over today. Delightful couple who immediately knew that the piece work would in the space so they bought it!

Just a few minutes ago I received an email from them with a photo of the artwork installed in their bedroom and it looks fantastic! Here is the photo of the installed artwork.

Very textured painting with bright iridescent background and vibrant pink ,yellow, blue and orange drips contrasting. For this piece I use mainly palette knifes and bold paint drips over and over again. lots of energy in this piece and very contemplative feel.

This work is a triptych which is comprised of 3 individual 16″ x 20″ canvases. There are also optional framing options to show off these 3 amazing works. They could each be framed individually and hung together for a different look. Another option would be a “floating frame” in which all 3 canvases are mounted in 1 frame for a different look. These options can be done by your local framer should you decide you want that.
