SOLD – Purple Abstract 1 (2017) Mixed Media painting by Los Angeles ABstract artist – Nestor Toro – Sold
Artist’s description:
This is a BOLD STATEMENT work that is sure to bring a level of elegance and sophistication to your home or office!
I started this work with hand cut professional heavy canvas and applied a thick layer of gesso by hand. The canvas was triple primed with gesso and after that dried I was ready to paint! I choose a bold palette of Sennelier acrylics (see photo) as well as iridescent mediums and even iron oxide to create this painting.
It is a rich and complex work with shades of indigo blue, shades of purple, violet and gold. The iridescent mica based acrylics give the painting the unique characteristic of reflecting the light to give it different looks with light intensity and even viewing angles so it is a vibrant work that makes a bold statement that you will never get tired of!
This work arrives rolled. Take it to your favorite framer for framing. It would look great simply mounted on stretcher bars as I have allowed 2 inches on each side for wrapping without losing any of the actual artwork. It would also look great in a “floating frame” as well.
This work is accomplished by a signed Certificate of Authenticity to protect your investment!
Materials used:
acrylic, gesso, iron oxide
