Saatchi Art – “New This Week” 11/4/2019 Collection!

I am thrilled to announce that one of my works has been included in Rebecca Wilson’s – Saatchi Art’s Head Curator and Director “New This Week” collection for November 4, 2019!! Here is the work on the collection page at Saatchi Art

There are only 93 works included so you know that I am honored to have one of those spaces out of tens of thousands of potential artists! I am even more honored as this is the 4th time this year that I have been included in this rather “exclusive” list – which it really is again considering the massive numbers of works and artists worldwide!

The work is called Celeste Terrain (Amethysts reflections) and is 22×28 inches and comes ready to hang with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. This work has been selected for an honor so why not be the new owner? Check out photos of the work below – Thank you – Nestor Toro 2019 Los Angeles

SOLD – Purple Display of Affection by Nestor Toro

I very pleased to announce in this post that my work titled Purple Display of Affection (with blue and silver) has been purchased by a collector in Virginia. This is a mixed media piece with acrylic paint, iron oxide, and gel mediums. The work is clearly Pollock inspired in execution but is totally and 100% Nestor Toro! The work was sold via ArtFinder gallery which is located in the UK. This a statement work that everyone will notice!

Very bold, Very expressive statement painting. Lots of swirls, circles, color blending and lots of action, Spontaneous! hours of non stop action! to complete this piece. Many layers of paint over purple with a combination of many blues, dark purple and silver…A true show stopper! The work is 42×70 inches and makes a very bold statement as you can see below!

BRIGHT, BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL!

Vibrant and very detailed piece with bold color blending, lots of drips and big palette knife strokes…Pretty much everything I love in a painting!!! This painting conveys motion and energy as well as lots of light and fast changes in contrast. Has a very active summer feel and yet one can get lost in it!

The True Value of Art in Today’s CRAZY World

SOLD – “December” by Nestor Toro – Los Angeles

I am known for my bright and bold colors so this work is unusual for me being monochromatic. It is done in my signature style with a palette knife as the main painting tool. So being different I knew that it would take a special buyer – well – that special collector found the work and loved it! So I am happy to announce that my work “December” has been sold via Zatista gallery and will soon be enjoyed by a collector each day! The work measures 36 x 57 inches. I know that the photos of this work appear to be in black and white but they are NOT – to prove it I have included a photo of me working on it so you can see the skin tone as proof! Thank you and enjoy it! Nestor Toro – Los Angeles 2019

Don’t you deserve some fine art in your home? Not wall decor (although these works certainly do decorate the space they occupy) but I am talking about real impactful works that you resonate with. That is the type of work that you will enjoy more each day as you notice something new that you see for the first time…or how different it looks from different angles and with different lighting. I have been told that my work is not just visually appealing but it goes beyond that to an emotional or subconscious level – perhaps it brings back memories of a special or impactuful life event. ARTWORK IDEA – Rotate Your Artwork Like A Gallery Does – Really!

ARTWORK IDEA FROM NESTOR TORO

Many of my collectors are regulars and purchase a new work every few months. So have summer homes that also need artwork. Others simply rotate the artwork on their walls to keep them looking fresh which is a GREAT IDEA! So many are afraid of collecting art because they fear they do not have the wall space for it. Rotating artwork (just like art galleries and museums do) – Imagine if they have the same works each time you visited.

Why not do the same thing with your home? Just keep it in mind. I have so many collectors who say they see new works but just don’t know where to hang it – rotate your artwork! That is what all collectors do – it’s what I do! There is finite wall space (even in the largest home) so rotating your artwork gives the space a whole new look and feel. Give it a try and I think you will find out that you love it!

Remember that corner or small room with the same painting for years – well – just imagine have a few works of perhaps 20 x 16 inches (really a great size for many spaces) and changing the artwork in that space every few months – it will change the entire “feel” and “energy” of the room! Try it! Check out the vast selection of affordable 20 x 16 inch works I have available right now!

So with that in mind why not head over to the shop to see what’s new!
