Happy to announce that a collector has purchased my work Time in the Sun (Los Angeles) which was sold at Zatista online gallery. This work is 48 x 36 inches and was created in 2018. It is a bit different from my signature style because I like to mix it up and experiment with different styles. I was very pleased with the outcome of this work and was happy that it was sold to a collector in the USA. Here is a bit of information about the painting.

Introducing “Time in the Sun,” an original abstract painting by popular artist Nestor Toro, measuring a versatile 36 x 48 inches. This radiant work showcases Toro’s mastery of abstract expressionism, drawing inspiration from the vibrant energy of Jackson Pollock and the luminous color fields of Mark Rothko. Painted with a large palette knife and finished with a glossy sheen, this piece captures the essence of basking in sunlight, with the flexibility to be hung vertically or horizontally, making it a dynamic addition for collectors seeking art that radiates warmth and joy.

The painting glows with a sun-drenched palette that evokes the feeling of a perfect day under the sun. Fiery yellows and oranges dominate the canvas, cascading like beams of sunlight, their intensity amplified by the large palette knife’s bold, textured strokes. These warm hues are interwoven with vibrant reds and pinks, which flow through the composition like the heat of a summer afternoon, adding a sense of passion and vitality. Deep blues and greens emerge in subtle layers, suggesting the cool shadows of a sunlit landscape, while hints of white and soft purples provide a delicate contrast, enhancing the painting’s luminous depth.

The glossy finish amplifies the artwork’s radiant quality, making the colors shimmer with a vibrant, almost sunlit intensity that feels alive with warmth. Toro’s use of a large palette knife creates a richly textured surface, with each stroke capturing the spontaneity of a moment in the sun. “Time in the Sun” is a visual celebration, blending light and color in a way that feels both exhilarating and serene, offering endless versatility in display.
